Version 1.0 · 15 October 2026

Atlas is an app that helps families manage their children's screen time and prepare for school. We only process the data needed for that: no advertising, no selling of data, no advertising profiles. Our servers are in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany).

Who is responsible?

Atlas is provided by IDE TECHNOLOGY BV (company no. 0805.697.440, Atealaan 34A, 2200 Herentals, Belgium). We are the controller of your data.

What data do we process?

What do we not process?

Full web addresses, page content, messages, forms and passwords (except the school account), screenshots, location and biometric data. Voice recordings are not stored. Payment card details are not stored by us.

Why?

Legal basis

Processing needed to make the service work is based on the performance of the contract (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)). For AI features, the school connection and read-aloud we also ask for your explicit consent (art. 6(1)(a)); you can withdraw it at any time in the panel.

Service providers and AI

We do not sell your data to any company and do not share it for advertising.

Browser extension

The Atlas browser extension reports only the site name of the open tab (e.g. youtube.com) and the time spent to the Atlas program on the same computer; it shows a notice on sites the parent has blocked and turns on safe search in search engines. Full addresses, page content, what you type, forms, passwords and screenshots are not read and not sent. The extension itself sends nothing to the internet; the Atlas program only passes the site name and time to your account.

How long do we keep data?

Security

All connections are encrypted (HTTPS). The school account password and date of birth are stored encrypted with AES-256; for device keys we only keep a hash. Only your family and, when needed to run the service, authorised staff have access.

Your rights

You have the right to access, download, correct and delete your data, to object to its processing and to withdraw your consent. Ask via the panel or the email address above; we reply within 30 days. You can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority: dataprotectionauthority.be

Children

The parent creates and manages the account. The child has no email address or account of their own; the child's data is only visible to their own family.

Changes

If this text changes, we will tell you in the panel; if needed we will ask for your consent again.
